Short biography
Armando J. Perez-Carreno has been building software on the internet since 2008. He founded PerezCarreno & Coindreau that same year as a one-person engineering practice and grew it into an AI engineering firm serving small and medium businesses across the United States. He works from San Antonio, Texas.
Across 18+ years he has shipped custom software, e-commerce platforms, education systems, and operational automations for 100+ businesses in 11 industries. That work includes enterprise engagements with IBM, GoDaddy, FEMSA, and Entel, plus long-term builds for fitness, spirits, education, and media brands like My Peak Challenge, Sassenach Spirits, Bia Education, Tecnológico de Monterrey, and Reporte Indigo.
Today his focus is AI adoption for small and mid-size businesses. He finds the handful of automations that truly save a business time and money, builds them, and trains the team to own them. No black boxes, no vendor lock-in.
How he works
Armando stays hands-on. He writes the production code, designs the workflows, and leads the rollout himself rather than reselling a third party's work. He builds on n8n, Make, and Zapier for workflow automation, OpenAI and Anthropic models for generative AI, vector databases for RAG, and LiveKit and similar platforms for voice AI. He plugs into the CRM, accounting, and calendar tools a client already uses instead of forcing a migration.
His engineering practice is grounded in formal methodology. Armando holds the Personal Software Process (PSP) certification from Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute, a rigorous framework for measuring, planning, and improving how a single engineer delivers software. That training shapes how every project gets scoped, estimated, and shipped.
He is bilingual in English and Spanish and serves the US Hispanic business market alongside English-speaking clients. He says "don't do that" as often as "do this." If AI is not the right answer, he tells you straight.
