Commemorating Safer Internet Day, our friends at Google would like to give you an extra 2GB of Google Drive storage space if you run a simple Security Checkup.
Although all data stored and transferred through Google’s Datacenters is encrypted, they want to make sure you are experiencing the same security in the rest of your online activities.
“As our way of saying thanks for completing the checkup by 17 February 2015, we’ll give you a permanent 2 gigabyte bump in your Google Drive storage plan.” -Google Drive Blog
You mission… should you choose to accept it.. Is complete the Security Checkup before the deadline on February 17th 2015.
Once you complete the simple steps (which we recommend you do anyway every so often), you’ll be rewarded a permanent 2GB bump of storage on February 28th.
Have you done you checkup already?
Note: This does not apply to Google Apps for Work or Google Apps for Education accounts.
