If you use a Mac and never turn it off, you may notice a slight slowdown eventually. To fix this, simply restart it and it should go back to normal!

It is wise to restart your computer at least once a month to help keep the RAM “fresh”.

Sidenote: Don’t get me wrong – the sleep function works great, you could go a year without ever turning off or restarting your Mac – but some applications are bad at handling system memory and they may decrease your system’s performance.
